2024-25 Schedule & Tutoring Fees
Schedule
K – 8th – Mondays & Thursdays, 9 am – 2pm
Program Dates: September 5, 2024 – May 22, 2025
2024-25 Annual Tuition (per student)
Application fee: $200 per student (non-refundable)
TK-8th: $2,050 per year (can be made in annual, bi-annual or monthly payments)
2024-25 Curriculum
TK/Kinder: Writing will include topics such as letter recognition and formation and sentence writing, and literature-based units. Math will loosely follow Saxon Math K. For science and social studies, students will follow unit and seasonal unit studies. Parents will need to follow their own Language Arts curriculum at home that includes lessons on reading and handwriting.
1st – 8th:
Math:
- 1st – 8th Saxon Math for all levels up to Algebra I
Writing:
- 1st Grade – Primary Arts of Language: Writing. Writing will include sentence construction skills, paragraph construction 1-3 paragraph compositions.
- 2nd – 4th Grade: Steps to Writing Success. Writing will include practice in persuasive, informative, narrative and expressive writing. Some writing lessons will be thematic, based on the other subjects they are studying. Note: Parents are encouraged to supplement with their own phonics, handwriting, spelling and grammar curriculum at home since this is not taught in-depth in class.
- 5th – 8th grade: WriteShop I & II with additional literature unit studies by Progeny Press
Social Studies:
History is taught on a four-year cycle of Ancient Civilization, Middle Ages, Early Modern History and Modern History
- 1st/2nd: Galloping the Globe
- 3rd – 8th: Biblioplan: Remember the Days Book 1 Ancient Days.
Science:
Science is taught on a four-year cycle of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science/Astronomy, Physics for grades 3-6. 7-8 grade will rotate between My Father’s World: Science in the Atomic Age and another science TBD.
- 1st/2nd: A survey of topics such as the universe, rocks, weather and plants
- 3rd/6th: REAL Science Odyssey Physics Level 1.
- 7-8th: Science in the Atomic Age.
